Things to do In Sayulita

Surfing isn't all there is to do in Sayulita.   If you're into being outdoors, you'll be happy here.   There are some nice trails to run , mountain bike , or just hike .   A couple lead to private beaches.   Others lead to scenic overlooks - great places to watch the sunset.

About a 5 minute walk from the beach in Sayulita there is a spectacular flat water cove called Play de Los Muertos.  The beach is beautiful.  The water is calm and great for snorkeling and swimming.

There are several great boat trips that can be taken right from the beach in Sayulita.  Those interested in snorkeling can set up a trip to the Marieta Islands - an extremely beautiful small chain of uninhabited islands about 40 minutes away in the boat  There is also some serious fishing to be done, and local guides know the deal. Fishing trips can also be set up right on the beach.   For those who prefer a mellow boat ride just to take in the scenery, there are even whale watching trips.  Depending on the season, you're almost guaranteed to see some whales - this is pretty cool if you've never done it before.   For those of you who have a hard time making up your minds, you can make your boat trip include a little of all these things - all you have to do is ask.   Look for my friend Diego or any of his brothers to make this all happen.   Ask for them on the beach or over at El Tigre restaurant.
